Online Course on Democracy in Sudan – New Cohort

AMEL is pleased to announce that registration is now open for a new cohort of the Online Course on Democracy in Sudan, starting June 2025. To apply, please complete the application form below. 

About the Course 

This is a five-week online training program consisting of 11 pre-recorded lectures (each approximately one hour long) covering key topics related to democracy in Sudan. The lectures are delivered by Sudanese researchers and academics with extensive expertise in their fields. In addition to the recorded lectures, participants will join weekly group discussions via Google Meet to engage with the course material and exchange perspectives. The program begins in July 2025, and participants who successfully complete all requirements will receive a certificate from AMEL. 

Key Features 

1. 1. المرونة: Flexibility : Participants can watch the lectures at their own pace. On average, the course requires following two lectures (around two hours) per week. 
   2. Motivation : While the course allows flexibility, it also keeps participants on track through a structured schedule, weekly discussions, and peer interaction.
   3. High-quality content: The lectures are designed and delivered at a strong academic and research level by leading Sudanese scholars and experts.
   4. Group discussions: A safe and inclusive space to engage in dialogue on democracy in Sudan with young people from across Sudan and the wider world.
   5. Certification: Participants who complete the course will receive a free certificate from the AMEL Institute.
